Download Dell’s ControlPoint Security Manager driver, then it’ll show as installed in your Device Manager. The Broadcom USH is mainly used by the fingerprint reader, but it’ll be present even if you don’t have a fingerprint reader. Touch or click Download to the right on the driver listing. When available, the Broadcom USH w/swipe sensor drivers are in the Dell ControlVault Driver, Dell ControlVault2 Driver and Firmware, or Dell ControlVault3 Driver and Firmware files. Using the drop-down menu under Category, select Security.
To fix the problem, you just need to update the driver for the device.
In Device Manager, if you see a yellow mark next to “Broadcom USH” or “Broadcom USH w/swipe sensor” (Broadcom USH means Broadcom Unified Security Hub.), don’t worry, because this driver problem can be fixed easily.
